About

John O’Farrell

How did this start?

Well, as a bit of a hobby in the beginning if truth be told, and also through a lifelong fascination with iconic Celtic images, past and present.

After producing several images for friends, it became an idea to share these with the wider Celtic community on the back of feedback and encouragement received from initial works.

I treat each build as if it’s my own and take great pride in the bespoke hand-made pieces I produce.

Due to varying quality, age and clarity of image, each one is processed and enhanced using the latest softwares, using different visual effect technology such as black and white, colour restore and image sharpening techniques, producing amazing image resolution on all of our products be it canvas art, wall mural or even banners for your supporters event.

CELTIC CANVAS ART HAS NOW GONE LATEX

Recent substantial investment now see’s Celtic Canvas Art’s printing done using the very latest HP Latex ink printing technology. Latex printing is the most technologically advanced and durable printing process there is, surpassing any other printing format such as UV inks, solvent and eco-solvent inks. It allows us to guarantee our prints for life, due to it’s indoor capability of non fading on the print media we use here at Celtic Canvas Art, also making it waterproof.

This applies to both our canvas art and also our wall murals.

It has now also allowed CCA to venture into the outside market with its printing capabilities, due to it’s durability against atmospheric factors such as UV light and rain in outdoor environments. So if you or your supporters club require banners for any event, Celtic Canvas Art can accommodate your requirement, from artwork design through to final print.

For our canvasaes, our graphics are printed onto premium artist grade, natural cotton 380gsm canvas(the best in it’s class), and stretched over 38mm kiln dried, red wood pine, stretcher bar frames. We simply refuse to use sub-standard, faux-canvas polyester’s and lower grade 18mm bars or box frames.

Larger frame images are also supported by cross braces, ensuring optimum build quality.

The canvas art is then finished at rear with finishing tape, and comes ready to hang. Each piece is packaged and shipped securely using corner protectors, and bubble packaging in specially designed artwork transportation boxes.

There is no high production aspect to these pieces, all are bespoke, hand-made from scratch and such is the pride I take in producing them, I simply won’t pass them off unless perfect. I believe this build technique to be the best there is and it’s for this reason that I can offer, without fuss, a full refund if any customer has reason to question the quality of the work.

Our wall murals are also printed on premium grade self adhesive fabric, providing a rich crisp finish with an unrivalled print quality, with the option of fitting yourself from the instructions provided, or us fitting it for you.

Thank you for coming to the site to look at the work, and please take time to have a look through the gallery of productions. Site is still very much under construction and I am adding prints and information to it as and when I can.

I welcome any one off requests from any Celtic fan that has a particular image in mind that they wish to see re-produced on canvas or as a wall mural.

Many thanks to @BarryMcGonigle for his unbelievable design work and fantastic colour restores, many of which are shown here on the site.
